The Union League Club in New York City is expecting a beautiful audience tonight of cosmetic industry executives and powerful magazine publishers at The Fifth Annual Beyond Beauty Gala, honoring Heidi Manheimer, Chief Executive Officer for Shiseido Cosmetics America, and Lesley Jane Seymour, Editor-in-Chief of More Magazine.
Founded by Linda Marshall, President, Elysee Scientific Cosmetics, in memory of her son, the Beyond Beauty Gala benefits The James E. Marshall OCD Foundation, an organization dedicated to genetic research and awareness for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). This evening's fundraiser brings the total money raised to one million dollars. The beneficiary of tonight's proceeds will be presented to the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Dr. Gerald Nestadt, M.D., M.P.H., Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Director of the Johns Hopkins OCD Clinic.
The Mistress of Ceremonies for the gala event will be Mika Brzezinski who is currently an MSNBC anchor and co-host of "Morning Joe" as well as the "The Joe Scarborough Show" on ABC radio. Legendary folk icon, Judy Collins, is also expected to perform.
