Heidi Manheimer Takes on Additional Responsibilities with Shiseido Cosmetics America
Shoji Takahashi, Chairman and CEO of Shiseido Americas Corp. (SAC), announced additional responsibility for Heidi Manheimer, Chief Executive Officer of Shiseido Cosmetics America (SCA).
Effective October 15th, Manheimer will assume the role of Group Leader for U.S. Sales for the SAC group which includes Shiseido Cosmetics America (SCA), Beaute Prestige International USA (BPI), Nars and John Varvatos (JV).
"I am pleased to have Heidi expand her role and assume additional responsibility within our U.S. businesses. Heidi has been a driving force of our SCA division and selecting her for this newly created role will help create greater synergy among the sales function for all of our brands," said Takahashi.
In this newly created role, Manheimer will oversee the distribution and sales strategies in the U.S. market and will be the key point of contact for U.S. retailers for group strategy discussions. She will work closely with the heads of the BPI, Nars and JV brands to improve cross divisional communication and analysis to identify opportunities to strengthen sales of the SAC group in the U.S. The current reporting structure within the SAC group will remain unchanged.
Manheimer joined Shiseido Cosmetics America in September of 2000 as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Prestige Brands Division. In April 2002 she was promoted to President for U.S. Operations for SCA. In 2006, Manheimer was promoted to CEO of SCA, the first American, female CEO in the company's 137 year history. Under Manheimer's leadership, the company has experienced growth in the U.S. market.
