Dr. Olivier Courtin, managing director of Clarins Paris, talks about bringing a comprehensive range of age defying products and treatments to town
FROM LINE CONTROL balms to anti-fatigue eye serums, Clarins Boutique actually has it all. And, fortunately, the European skin products and treatments franchise has finally opened its doors to an eagerly waiting audience in the city.
Nestled in a busy corner of Dubai Mall, the brand new outlet carries the ultimate range of beauty products for men and women. The store also contains a spa treatment room where women are provided with face, body and massage therapies. "This boutique marks our first one not only in Dubai, but in the entire area. This city was the logical choice -- the market is a good one and it's very important for us to understand what the women here want since we are a new store," said Dr. Olivier Courtin (pictured below), a Clarins representative visiting from Paris for the store launch.
"We've tried to keep our treatment room as comfortable as possible for our customers -- there is enough space to try out the products and really experience them. This is our new concept. "
Another rather unique service available at the Clarins Boutique is the provision of a tailor-made treatment for its clients. The store also provides trial make-up services before purchase.
According to Courtin, the Clarins franchise invests a lot of money in research -- in fact there is no real set budget, the requirements of the skin specialists behind the scenes determine how much money is spent on preparing high-quality skincare products and treatments. Courtin also reveals that plant extracts and effective concentrations form the crux of most formulas.
"Our method of treatments begins with listening to the requirements of our customers. Then we work on finding the products specific to those needs and often even teach the techniques behind effectively applying them. Next we recommend the therapies best for your skin and body. After all this when you look at yourself in the mirror, I guarantee that you will be able to see the difference between before and after," continued Dr. Courtin.
"Our treatment has been in existence for more than 50 years and we've worked very hard on adapting it over time." The cost of products at this newly opened Clarins boutique start from Dhs 75.
